44th Annual 100 Mile & District Outriders Little Britches Rodeo

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 Start Time 9:00 a.m. for Junior events
Grand Entry is at NOON after the Rodeo Parade through 100 Mile House
Senior events follow Grand Entry and Mutton Bustin' in the afternoon

Gate Fees: Adults $10.00; Seniors and students $5.00; Kids 6 years and under = free, as well as the contestants and a signing parent/guardian

Entries MUST be phoned in to 250-396-7724 on every evening up to and including Wednesday, May 19th from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. ONLY! Please have the child's medical number and date of birth ready when calling in.

  1. The Little Britches Rodeo is NOT a sanctioned event this year. This means that the same events will be held, but there is a LONGER time for telephone entries - 2 evenings; Friday and Saturday May 14/15 (see above). You can also enter ELECTRONICALLY if you are unable to phone in your entries. Please click on the link at the bottom of the page.
  2. Also note that SENIOR and JUNIOR competitors have 4 events instead of just 3 to choose from.
  3. Please note that the rodeo starting time is 9:00 a.m. for Junior Competitors. Senior competitor events will follow Grand Entry and Mutton Bustin' in the afternoon.
  4. Junior steer riding is NOT mandatory this year to qualify for the Jr. Boy All-round prize. Boys do have to enter 2 events, but don't have to ride steers to qualify.
  5. The junior events will be run FIRST, alternating between junior boys and girls' events, then the senior events will be run after GRAND ENTRY at noon.
  6. A NEW junior event has been added - Junior dummy roping.
  7. Rodeo office opens at 8:15 a.m. on rodeo day!

Mutton Bustin'
Expert mutton buster at work...

Mutton Busting (boys and girls aged 6 years and under, AND under 50 lbs)

Will be run as an "Intermission Event" following GRAND ENTRY at noon and one more go-round later in the afternoon (15 goes per round for 30 entries max). Entries for mutton bustin' will be taken the day of the rodeo only (no phone entries beforehand).
